更關鍵的是，這個命令不是「請你配合看看」，而是有時間壓力的 interim measure。歐盟說，如果 Meta 持續限制第三方 AI 助理的接入，可能會對這個仍在成長中的市場造成「嚴重且不可逆」的傷害；Meta 則回應這是監管過度介入，還把矛頭指回歐盟，認為這等於補貼了那些希望免費接入 WhatsApp 的競爭者。換句話說，這場仗已經不是單純的產品政策，而是入口、定價和公平競爭邊界的直接衝突。
如果把這件事放到整個 AI 市場來看，重點就更清楚了。模型能力當然還重要，但當使用者每天最常碰到的介面集中在少數平台上，真正值錢的就不只是「誰更聰明」，而是「誰能被放進預設入口」。WhatsApp 這種級別的訊息平台，對 AI 助理來說不是附屬功能，而是分發權本身。誰能進來、誰要付費、誰被擋在外面，會直接影響用戶取得 AI 的路徑，也會影響新創能不能長出規模。
這也解釋了為什麼這類監管新聞越來越像產業新聞，而不是法務新聞。Meta 之前曾提出讓競爭對手免費接入一段時間，後來又改成收費方案，現在歐盟連這個方案都不買單，等於是在告訴大型平台：你可以經營你的生態系，但不能把既有壟斷優勢直接轉成 AI 時代的新租金。接下來最值得盯的不是新聞標題本身，而是 Meta 的上訴結果、第三方 AI 助理能否真的回到 WhatsApp，以及這種「入口管制」會不會蔓延到其他平台。
